The book fair is over and it's very short week with only 2 school days. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. See you next week. Here's what we did in the library on Monday & Tuesday. Note: if your library day was Wed.-Fri. you books will be due next week.
Kindergarten (Widener): We read "If You Ever Bring an Alligator to School, Don't!" by Elise Parsley. This is one of our Washington Children's Choice nominees.
Grade 1 (Hirst): We read "Mother Bruce" by Ryan Higgins. This was another one of our children's choice nominees. VIDEO READING (YouTube)
Grade 5/6 (except Alderson): We started our first unplugged coding lesson. We explored computaional thinking. VIDEO Vocabulary: abstraction, algorithm, decompose, pattern match.
Professional: Completed book fair tasks, attended the Edmonds SD Technology Advisory Committee meeting Monday evening.
