This Week in the Library: May 18 - 22

Here's what happened in the library this week:

Little Eaglets (Preschool Story Time): Mrs. Shook, Assistant Principal, was our guest reader. She read "Bark! George" by Jules Feiffer. Eaglets got color sheets about monsters and the letter D.  Next week's reader (5/28) will be Mrs. Hirst, 1st grade teacher.

Primary Classes (K-3): These classes heard the book "The King's Taster" by Kenneth Oppel.  We talked about point of view, the book's narrator was the dog.  Students were asked to listen for the cook's dream and what the cook discovered about the king.  Vocabulary words were: leftovers, coronation, boar, and venison.

Intermediate Classes (4-6):  These classes looked at newspaper articles from 1980 relating to the eruption of Mt. St. Helens.  We discussed primary source material.  Mrs. Mindt's class also got to see a quick video about the disaster.  HISTORY CH. VIDEO
