This Week in the Library: January 25-28

It may have been another shortened week, but it was a busy one in the library.  Here's what went on in the classes:

Primary Classes (K-3, Except Liker): We read "This is a Moose" bu Richard Morris from our Washington Children's Choice Picture Book Award nominee poster.  It was a fun look at some animals making a movie about the mighty moose.  We also noticed the glossary in the back of the book which gave use definitions of movie making words.  Vocabulary words: take, cut, director, glossary.

Intermediate (4-6, Except Friday Classes): We learned about the Best Book Program and learned about some of the titles on this year's best book list. Some classes are finished with the book talks, others will finish next week.

Professional: During the individual work time on Thursday and Friday I worked on a variety of things: weeding and removing old/damaged books from the catalog, cataloged new books, and technology.  On Tuesday evening I attended the Edmonds SD Librarians meeting at Scriber Lake HS.  We focused on databases, and school library research studies.  I also read the novel "The Honest Truth" by Dan Gemeinhart and began to track down possibilities for the 2017 WCCPBA list.
